Fully Appointed

After being fully appointed in March as career missionaries to Cameroon Africa, we started itineration the beginning of April.  We have already been so blessed by the people we have met.  God’s church is alive and well!  From small rural churches to district conferences to small gatherings over a meal or cup of coffee, each engagement with the body of Christ has been so rich.  For regular updates, follow our Facebook group, Darren and Lori - Africa Journey.

Something to Celebrate - Rev. Darren Warning

Darren graduated from Central Bible College in 2010 with a degree in Pastoral Ministries.  Through the years, completing the final steps of credentials with the Assemblies of God was always a goal. This was the year!  He finished his credentialing exams last fall and was recognized at the Southern Missouri Network Conference in April.  We look forward to being ordained together in two years.

To all who have gone before us, thank you.

At a recent service at the Assemblies of God Maranatha Village (retirement community), we had the honor of meeting Retired Missionaries John and Betty Weidman.  They invested in the early development and growth of Africa Tabernacle Evangelism. It was such an honor to be able to talk with them and hear their stories. We left our time with them feeling very humbled by the privilege to follow in some very big footsteps. Knowing this couple, and so many others, worked so hard, invested countless hours and paved the way for us to continue to fulfill the mission - A healthy church within walking distance of every African.

Congratulations Tyler and Emma

We are very excited for our youngest son, Tyler.  In just a little over a month he will marry his best friend, Emma.  Emma has become a very special part of our family and we can’t wait to celebrate with them on June 3rd.
